Instruction for use

1. Determine the date of suspected ovulation

It is necessary to determine the date of suspected ovulation to conduct the test.

  • Menstrual cycle is the number of days from the first day of the month to the next day of the next period.
  • The day of suspected ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Depending on the menstrual cycle is regular or irregular, the number of days to suspect ovulation can be one or more days.
    • In case of regular menstrual cycle:  Use the test strip continuously for 5 days (before and 2 days after the day of suspected ovulation, 1 test each day at the same time). For example:  The menstrual cycle is 27 days, the day of suspected ovulation is the 13th day (take 27-14=13), the day to start using the test strip is the 11th to 15th day of the menstrual cycle.
    • In case of irregular menstrual cycle:  Use the test strip continuously from before the suspected ovulation date of the shortest menstrual cycle 2 days to after the suspected ovulation date of the longest menstrual cycle 2 days. For example: Within the last 5 months, the shortest menstrual cycle is 25 days and the longest is 32 days, the time to suspect ovulation for this menstrual cycle is from the 11th to the 7th day. 18 (take 25-14=11 and take 32-14=18), the day to start using the test strip is the 9th to 20th day of the menstrual cycle.

2. Carry out the test  (see illustration on the aluminum bag containing the test strip)

  • Collect urine for testing at the same time each day (between 10am and 8pm), do not use the first urine sample of the day.
  • Remove test strips from pouch, use immediately within 10 minutes (each test strip is for single use only).
  • Dip the test strip into the urine cup in the direction of the arrow, so that the surface of the urine does not exceed the arrowhead printed on the test strip.
  • After 10-15 seconds, take the test strip horizontally on a clean, dry surface, read the results after 5 minutes and before 10 minutes.

3. Read the results

  • Not ovulating (on the picture: No LH Surge): On the test strip, there is only one C line or there is an additional T line but the color is lighter than the C line.
  • There are signs of ovulation (on the drawing: LH Surge): On the test strip, both C and T lines appear on the test strip, the T line is as dark as or more than the C line, signaling ovulation may occur within 24 to next 48 hours.
  • If you want to get pregnant, the best time to have intercourse is after 24 hours and before 48 hours from the time of the test.
  • Failed (on the drawing: Invalid): On the test strip, both C and T lines do not appear (due to incorrect test operation, urine sample failed or improperly stored). It is recommended to try again with a new test strip.

  • When the test results show ovulation (LH increased), the egg will be ovulated within the next 24 to 48 hours, not ovulated at the time of the test.
  • When you ovulate or have ovulated, the T-line will fade when tested.
  • Medications that can lower LH levels include estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone (Estrogen and progesterone are found in birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy); The drug that can increase LH levels is Clomiphene citrate (Clomid), which is used to stimulate ovulation. Women taking these drugs should stop taking them at least 3 days before the test to ensure the accuracy of the test results.
  • During menopause, a woman’s ovaries stop working, so LH increases. In the case of elderly women, the test may give an incorrect result.
  • The product is for single use only and for one test only.
